Types of
Cable Cores for Electric Wire Rope hoist
There is a core in the cable of Electric

core, fiber core, asbestos core, and metal core.
Organic
core:
It is made of cotton. The cotton is twisted on a rope first. The

lifting work, the oil stored in the core oozes and thus lubricates the steel
cable. But this type of cable has a low resistance to heat and
fire. It is not suitable in high-temperature conditions and high pressure
cannot be maintained.
Fiber core: It is made
of natural fiber or synthetic fiber. This type also does not work in hot
environments or for very heavy loads.
Asbestos
core:
It is made of asbestos. It has similar properties to those of the organic
core and those of the fiber. The difference is that asbestos core can
adapt to the hot and metallurgical environment. But you can't sustain
great pressure.
Metal core: It is
manufactured with mild steel. This type of steel cable can withstand high
temperature and high pressure. It also adapts to complex working
conditions. Of course, its price is higher.
